Uncovering the Lies: The Fight to Stop False Claims and Injustice in the January 6 Cases

Attorney Joseph D. McBride has filed a motion to prevent the US government from advancing the false narrative that police officers were killed by protesters during the January 6 Capitol riot. This comes after U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, among others, misrepresented the incident by implying that five police officers died due to the January 6 incident. However, U.S. Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick died a day after the attack due to natural causes, while four Capitol Police and Washington Metropolitan Police officers died by suicide in the aftermath. McBride's law firm is representing Ryan Taylor Nichols, who is allegedly implicated in the fire extinguisher incident involving Sicknick. The motion seeks to exclude the prosecution from making unduly prejudicial claims about the deaths of police officers wrongfully attributed to demonstrations that took place on January 6.
